Having released a hugely impressive debut full-length “Generation Why?” on Earache Records this year, Chicago thrashers Diamond Plate have been rather actively living life on the road, with extensive tours across North America. Interview: Catching Up With Led Zeppelin 2 Singer Bruce Lamont (Audio)

By Andrew Bansal

If you haven’t guessed it already, Led Zeppelin 2 is a Zeppelin tribute band, and they based out of Chicago, Illinois. I was already familiar with singer Bruce Lamont because of his band Yakuza, and that made me even more curious to see them, as compared to checking out a “regular” Zeppelin tribute band. The first time I got to see them was last February at the Key Club. I really enjoyed how they mixed the rarities with the hits, and presented a good selection from the wonderful Zeppelin catalog, and for a band that does not do this full time, they did a great job at performing those tunes. Los Angeles-based female-fronted modern heavy metal band Edge Of Paradise put out their debut album “Mask” earlier this year, an album on which the music hits the right balance between being heavy and melodic. Through local gigs in the LA area, the band has used up every possible opportunity to present this material on stage, and continue towards their constant pursuit of booking shows. Interview: “Dick Delicious” Talks About New & Old Material, Bands He Hates Most (Audio)

By Andrew Bansal

A comedy metal band based out of Atlanta, Georgia, Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles have been around for as long as 19 years, and even though they have more or less succeeded in their aim of putting out music everyone can get a kick out of, the band has gone through a few line-up changes. The latest addition to their line-up is Nashville Pussy guitarist Ruyter Suys. Besides the music releases, their most notable achievement is the Howard Stern award for excellence in music. Yes, you read that right. Continue reading “Interview: “Dick Delicious” Talks About New & Old Material, Bands He Hates Most (Audio)”
