French extreme metal band Gojira has been in existence since 1996 but of late they’ve risen to global success, as a result to some important tours and a stellar new album called L’Enfant Sauvage which came out last year. Currently, they are on a North American tour as main support to the mighty Slayer, and played the Hollywood Palladium on Monday October 28 in the early phase of this tour. Having not seen the band for more than four years and based on their recent success, I had very high expectations from them and they certainly delivered. After the show, I had a chance to do an in-person interview with guitarist/vocalist Joe Duplantier. The latest episode of the Metal Assault Podcast includes this interview. Listen to it below.
