OSI, the collaboration between Chroma Key/ex-Dream Theater keyboardist Kevin Moore and Fates Warning guitarist Jim Matheos, has been around for almost ten years now, and despite their busy schedules, the two musicians have managed to make this a successful project, with the help of several guest musicians that have featured on the past releases.
The duo is now ready to release its fourth full-length album “Fire Make Thunder”, which hits the North American market on March 27th via Metal Blade Records. Porcupine Tree’s Gavin Harrison once again sits in as session drummer, and even co-wrote a song on this one. The album certainly will not disappoint fans of previous OSI material, and is quite an enjoyable effort overall. Just a few minutes ago, I had a chat with Kevin Moore to talk about the album, among other things including film soundtracks and the possibility of bringing OSI to the stage. Listen to the 8-minute conversation below, and check out the band’s official website.
