Last October, on the “Frets Of Fury” tour in support of Firewind, Arsis did the unthinkable, and made it work. They toured without Jim Malone, and taking his place in that touring line-up were vocalist Mike Parks and guitarist Brandon Ellis. The last night of the tour was at the Whisky A-Go-Go in Hollywood on October 27th, and based on what I saw, I can say without a doubt that this line-up did complete justice to the songs they chose to play.Their latest album “Starve For The Devil” came out in early 2010, and we’re not too far away from the next studio release. Before this show, I caught up with guitarist Nick Cordle and bassist Noah Martin to talk about the material they’ve written for this next album, touring without Jim Malone, and various other topics. Listen to the short 6-minute conversation below, and check out the band’s facebook page for more.
