Having toured under the Thin Lizzy name with new frontman Ricky Warwick for the past couple of years, including a support run with the mighty Judas Priest in the States, Scott Gorham and his bandmates Damon Johnson and Marco Mendoza decided to don a new avatar called Black Star Riders, with Jimmy DeGrasso joining in on drums. They signed to Nuclear Blast Records and their debut album ‘All Hell Breaks Loose’ was released in the US on May 28th. The band will be touring under the same name worldwide, as they are already in Europe for a few festival dates and are planning a big tour throughout the rest of 2013 and 2014. A couple of weeks ago, I caught up with Jimmy DeGrasso to talk about all things BSR. Check out the 13-minute audio of our conversation below.
