San Francisco-based hardcore punk/thrash band Early Graves put out a killer new record called ‘Red Horse’ last October via No Sleep Records, and have been actively touring ever since. A couple of weeks ago, they joined fast-rising Finnish grindcore outfit Rotten Sound for a run of four dates that included a gig at the Joint in West Los Angeles on May 13th 2013. Before the start of the show, I had a chance to catch up with frontman John Strachan to talk about Early Graves’ recent activities, the latest on The Funeral Pyre, vocals, record collection, and a few other things.
