King Ov Hell Discusses God Seed Debut Album ‘I Begin’

Former Gorgoroth mainstays King Ov Hell and Gaahl have finally come together to work on a much-awaited studio album. God Seed, the band that was formed after these two parted ways with Gorgoroth, is active again with a new lineup and will release the album ‘I Begin’ on October 22nd in North America, October 26th in Norway and October 30 in the rest of the world via Indie Recordings. The release will be immediately followed by a European tour. Norska Frontman Talks About Recent US Tour & Debut Album (Audio)

Portland, Oregon-based doom/sludge metal band Norska released their self-titled debut album last year. Last month, it was issued on 12″ vinyl by Brutal Panda Records, and to coincide with this release, they did a US West Coast run with Yob. Graveyard’s Joakim Nilsson Talks About New Album ‘Lights Out’

A little over a year after putting out “Hisingen Blues”, which turned out to be one of the best albums of 2011 in my opinion, Swedish classic rockers Graveyard are ready to release their third studio album “Lights Out” on October 26th in Europe and on November 6th in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. A couple of weeks ago, I spoke to vocalist/guitarist Joakim Nilsson to discuss the making of this album, among other things like the Swedish Grammy and the Graveyard beer ‘Hisingen Brew’. Stratovarius Keyboardist Discusses Live DVD & Next Album

Finnish power metal band Stratovarius underwent a major lineup change late last year, with the departure of drummer Jörg Michael. The band did a five-show ‘Jörg Michael farewell’ tour of Finland in November 2011, and recorded the Tampere show for a DVD/2-CD release, titled “Under Flaming Winter Skies – Live In Tampere”. It came out recently on August 28th in North America via Armoury Records, and now with new drummer Rolf Pilve in the lineup, the band is hard at work on the next studio album slated for an early 2013 release. Sylosis Frontman Talks About New Album & Upcoming US Tour

UK-based modern thrashers Sylosis put out their massive sophomore effort “Edge Of The Earth” last year, and they’ve taken a mere 18 months to come up with the follow-up. Their third studio album “Monolith” was released on October 5th in UK & Europe, and October 9th in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. To promote the album, the band is now preparing to head out on the road, supporting Lamb Of God on an extensive US tour, from October 30th to December 16th. New Haven CT based sleazy occult-themed traditional heavy metal band Nightbitch has been around since 2009, and during this three-year period they’ve released two EPs “Sex And Magic” and “Chainmaker”, and also played some great local shows with the likes of Pentagram. Their portrayal of the sleaze through their music and artwork is unique and genuine, and makes them one of the most intriguing underground bands in American metal at the moment.
