Ticket Giveaway: Motor Sister @ Whisky-A-Go-Go, 03/11

Boasting of the likes of Scott Ian, Joey Vera and John Tempesta, names that need no introduction to readers of this website, Motor Sister is a new band saluting the songs of cult LA rock band Mother Superior. Also including Pearl Aday in its lineup and aptly fronted by Mother Superior’s Jim Wilson himself, Motor Sister recorded an album called ‘Ride’ in an attempt to bring the original band’s songs back to life, and will release it March 10th via Metal Blade Records. To celebrate the album and present its material live, Motor Sister are doing a short series of record release shows, starting with a hometown show at the Whisky-A-Go-Go. Local rock trio The Gitas, who should provide the ideal warmup for the headline act with their own brand of heavy psychedelic rock ‘n roll, are also on the bill. 10,400 Miles Of America Demonized

After a successful and extensive ‘Extermination America’ tour in support of Raven, Night Demon completed yet another US tour in January 2015, this one with Canada’s Skull Fist and Australia’s Elm Street. With a revised set list featuring a greater chunk of the debut full-length album ‘Curse Of The Damned’ (released January 16th in Europe via SPV/Steamhammer and January 27th in the US via Century Media) and a decidedly more visual live show, Night Demon trekked the entirety of the country, beginning in treacherous weather on the east coast and gradually moving to warmer territories. Although on this tour only 13 states were covered, some previously unconquered regions such as Providence RI and Cudahy WI were successfully visited, and the fan base in already strong markets was further strengthened. Yours truly once again had the pleasure of traveling with the tour in more capacities than one, and attempted to capture the adventures through the ‘Rise Of The Demon’ tour blog series. For your convenience, this post should serve as the home of this blog, and you can dig into it in this order (to link to each part, click on its respective thumbnail): Continue reading “10,400 Miles Of America Demonized”
