Boasting of the likes of Scott Ian, Joey Vera and John Tempesta, names that need no introduction to readers of this website, Motor Sister is a new band saluting the songs of cult LA rock band Mother Superior. Also including Pearl Aday in its lineup and aptly fronted by Mother Superior’s Jim Wilson himself, Motor Sister recorded an album called ‘Ride’ in an attempt to bring the original band’s songs back to life, and will release it March 10th via Metal Blade Records. To celebrate the album and present its material live, Motor Sister are doing a short series of record release shows, starting with a hometown show at the Whisky-A-Go-Go. Local rock trio The Gitas, who should provide the ideal warmup for the headline act with their own brand of heavy psychedelic rock ‘n roll, are also on the bill.
