Dead Cross, the new band featuring Dave Lombardo along with Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox, Head Wound City) and Michael Crain (Retox, Festival of Dead Deer), have announced Faith No More frontman Mike Patton as their new singer, and will be releasing a new album on Ipecac Recordings in 2017. Dead Cross formed in 2016 out of pure coincidence, and is probably the only band, at least in recent history, to have written their first batch of music after having already booked shows. With only a few songs under their belt, Dead Cross played some headline shows on the US West Coast, including a gig at the Roxy in West Hollywood, and performed very short sets simply due to not having enough material. 2017 will bear witness to a whole new incarnation of Dead Cross, so be on the lookout! In related news, Lombardo is the guest drummer on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week (December 12 to 15).
