THE SHRINE Releases “Freak Fighter” Music Video

Fast-rising Venice, CA rock band THE SHRINE has just released its new album Primitive Blast.  Boasting a BIG sound the trio has dubbed “Psychedelic Violence Rock ‘N’ Roll”, THE SHRINE has been making waves in Los Angeles for the past few years, touring and sharing the stage with the likes of Kyuss Lives!, Pentagram, Graveyard and The Sword. Today, Brooklyn Vegan premieres the new, Scion AV produced video for the band’s ripping track “Freak Fighter” and calls THE SHRINE “California through and through, embodying both the stoner grooves and the thrashy skate punk of the area in the 80s and 90s”. Directed by Coan Buddy Nichols and inspired by the Decline of Western Civilaization, Black Flag music videos of the early 80’s, classic Bones Brigade films and Dogtown/Stecyk exploits, the “Freak Fighter” video features a guest cameo from Chuck Dukowski (Black Flag) in between live footage of THE SHRINE and stage diving mayhem! Check out THE SHRINE’s “Freak Fighter” below.

THE SHRINE has just been confirmed as direct support for Fu Manchu’s upcoming “The Action is Go” European tour and will kick off a string of west coast shows alongside Tee Pee labelmates LECHEROUS GAZE and San Francisco’s Hot Lunch next month (see below for more details).
