Los Angeles-based instrumental progressive metal/fusion trio Mammoth are products of Musicians Institute and have been in existence for more than a decade, independently releasing three EPs and playing gigs regularly during this period. They caught Metal Assault’s attention when they were won a ‘battle of the bands’ to open for Mr. Big at the Saban Theatre in February 2015, and succeeded in leaving an extremely strong first impression with their performance.
