Death metal legends Morbid Angel have announced their first tour of the United States for 2017. The tour, featuring Suffocation, Revocation and Withered as support acts, will commence on May 23rd in Orlando, Florida at the Beachum and continue around the country until the last show on June 27th, in New Orleans at the House Of Blues. In other news, the band announced the addition of drummer Scott Fuller (ex Abysmal Dawn, Annihilated and Errorgeist) into their lineup, as he joins guitarist and founding member Trey Azagthoth, returning vocalist Steve Tucker, and second guitarist Dan Vadim Von. The band is also working new material in famed producer Erik Rutan’s Mana Studios, for the next album to be released via UDR Music later in 2017. Stoner metal giants Mastodon have announced a North American headline tour for Spring 2017, also featuring Eagles Of Death Metal and Russian Circles as support acts. Tickets go on sale Friday January 13th. Every pair of tickets purchased online for Mastodon includes your choice of a physical or digital copy of their new, soon-to-be released album. The one and only King Diamond has been announced as the headliner of the 2017 edition of the three-day Psycho Las Vegas festival, set to take place August 18th to 20th at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. King Diamond will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of his iconic ‘Abigail’ album by performing it in its entirety, and this will be his only US show of the year. Guitar icon Michael Schenker has announced the release of the ‘Michael Schenker Fest Live Tokyo’ DVD+CD on March 24th 2017 via Inakustik. Filmed and recorded at Tokyo’s International Forum on August 24, 2016, this release features the Michael Schenker Fest in which original Michael Schenker Group vocalists Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley participated.
