Even before they’re home from their voyage on the Shiprocked Cruise and the ‘Southern Invasion’ tour leading to it and back, Dallas, Texas stoner rock trio Mothership have revealed the first leg of dates for their US headline tour in support of their upcoming third full-length studio album ‘High Strangeness’. Slow Season and Beastmaker will be the opening acts on this West Coast run. This is in addition to Mothership’s already announced ‘Southern Disruption’ run of US dates with Speedealer and Against The Grain. Check out the new dates below. ‘High Strangeness’ is due out March 17th via Ripple Music, and in all likelihood, will present another reason for first-time listeners to get on board the Mothership! Iron Maiden are returning to North America on ‘The Book Of Souls’ world tour with 25 shows in the US and Canada in the summer of 2017, with Ghost as support act. Check out the dates below. Tickets to the general public will go on sale Friday January 27th. There will also be more bands added to the show in San Bernardino, California. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 2007 sophomore release ‘Messengers’, Lancaster PA metalcore group August Burns Red are currently on a North American headline run, with Canadian modern prog outfit Protest The Hero, Australian band In Hearts Wake and Atlanta GA two-piece ’68 as support acts. The tour will soon arrive in Southern California, and will make stops in the Los Angeles and Orange County regions, with gigs at the Belasco Theater in downtown LA on Tuesday January 24th, and the Observatory in Santa Ana on Wednesday January 25th. Prophets of Rage, the Los Angeles-based group comprising members of Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy, will be playing the “Anti Inaugral Ball” at the Teragram Ballroom in their hometown, obviously on Friday January 20th, the same day as the inauguration of the new president of the United States. Power Trip, the devastating thrash/crossover unit from Dallas, Texas, have extended their 2017 North American tour and have announced more dates, including a West Coast run. Main support on all shows of the first leg will come from Iron Reagan, with Genocide Pact, Concealed Blade, Krimewatch and Protestor opening select dates. The newly announced second leg will have Destruction Unit as main support, and Primal Rite, Gag and Mizery as openers on select dates. In other news, Power Trip have revealed another new song from their upcoming Southern Lord Records full-length release ‘Nightmare Logic’, out February 24th.
