Jeff Olson Rejoins The Skull

Jeff “Oly” Olson has joined forces again with THE SKULL, the band he formed with fellow original member of Chicago doom-metal legends TROUBLE vocalist Eric Wagner and the band’s longtime bassist Ron Holzner.

Olson states, “I know that I’ve mentioned that I wouldn’t perform TROUBLE’s music anymore unless it’s with the other original members, but I’ve had a change of heart. I want to rock again. Although I have been having a great time playing keys for IN~GRAVED (led by former Pentagram guitarist Victor Griffin), I miss the drums and playing classic TROUBLE songs. Skeletonwitch To Tour With The Black Dahlia Murder; ‘Serpents Unleashed’ Out 10/29

DEATH ANGEL: New Album Artwork And Details Unveiled

Three years have passed since the release of DEATH ANGEL’s crushing Relentless Retribution album; three years of constant touring and on-the-road-songwriting. Now the Bay Area veterans have returned with yet another visceral slice of thrash. The Dream Calls for Blood was recorded at AudioHammer Studios with Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, AUGUST BURNS RED, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ALL THAT REMAINS, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER), and once again features cover art by Brent Elliot White (JOB FOR A COWBOY,CARNIFEX, WHITECHAPEL). The Dream Calls for Blood will be released to the rabid masses on October 11th (Rest of Europe),  October 14th (UK), and October 15th (North America). RED FANG Announce First Leg Of Fall U.S. Tour

After performances at Sasquatch! as well as major European festivals all summer long including Sonisphere, Download, Hellfest, Reload, Full Force, Open Air and Eistenaflug, RED FANG have announced the first leg of their fall U.S. tour will kick off October 9 on the west coast (see dates confirmed below). Before the fall run–which features support from Helms Alee, Dog Shredder and Gaytheist–RED FANG will head to Missoula, MT to headline the 12th annual TotalFest on Saturday, August 17. The Portland, OR-based group that NPR tagged as “a sleeker style of riff-heavy metal” will return this October with their third studio album WHALES AND LEECHES on Relapse Records. Orange Goblin To Return To North America This Autumn

Britain’s premier stoner metal band ORANGE GOBLIN will return to perform at venues throughout North America this Autumn. Following the band’s huge success earlier this year as main support for Clutch on their Earth Rocker North American tour, the Brits return for a full headlining run. Kicking off in New Orleans on September 27, the band will visit 38 cities around the United States and Canada before concluding in Nashville on November 9.
