Sunset Strip parody metal kings Steel Panther have returned to their old home The Roxy for a 4-show residency this October/November. Having completed gloriously successful residencies at just about every Sunset Strip venue including the Roxy in past years, Steel Panther are local legends without a doubt, and their newest residency promises to bring the band’s signature blend of metal and sleazy humor to what stands as arguably the best venue in the Los Angeles area. Dutch symphonic metal group Epica are currently on a North American headline tour to present material from their seventh full-length studio album ‘The Holographic Principle’, released in September 2016 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment, along with selections from the rest of the catalog, of course. Despite the clearly discernible symphonic element, this is a band that takes first-timers by surprise with the sheer heaviness and power of their live sound, and they’ll be expected to do much of the same when they visit the Regent in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday November 19th. Fleshgod Apocalypse, Arkona and The Agonist are serving as Epica’s support acts on this tour, and the show at the Regent promises to deliver an evening decorated with metal of diverse styles and flavors.
