Swedish heavy metal giants Meshuggah are making a brief visit to the United States to play Kirk Von Hammett’s Fear FestEvil in San Jose, California this month, and following their appearance at that event they will also do two special Southern California shows. Featuring in its ranks Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and Guns ‘N Roses guitarist DJ Ashba along with vocalist/drummer/keyboardist James Michael, Los Angeles-based hard rock group Sixx: A.M. released their third studio album ‘Modern Vintage’ via Eleven Seven Music in October 2014. To present its material as well as older tunes, Sixx: A.M. will be embarking on their first ever headline tour in early April, and will perform at Club Nokia in downtown LA on Saturday April 11, as part of this tour. Veterans of the American modern metal movement, Fort Lauderdale FL’s Nonpoint released their eighth studio album ‘The Return’ via Razor & Tie / Metal Blade in the summer of 2014, have been constantly on tour as always, and are about to embark on a US headline tour with support from Anchorage, Alaska’s best-known metal export 36 Crazyfists, and Providence RI based band Scare Don’t Fear. Rejuvenated old-school metal legends Queensryche have been going strong since recruiting singer Todd La Torre in 2012 and releasing a self-titled full-length album via Century Media the following year. Currently taking a brief break from working on the next album, Queensryche are out doing a handful of shows on the US West Coast, and as part of this run, they will play at the House Of Blues in Anaheim next Friday March 27th, along with opening acts Leatherwolf and Gabbie Rae. San Francisco Bay Area atmospheric death metal band Fallujah have rapidly developed as a group of songwriters and live performers in the past year or two, having released a stellar sophomore album called ‘The Flesh Prevails’ in 2014 via Unique Leader Records. Now signed to Nuclear Blast Records, Fallujah are bringing their live show to Southern California once again, this time as headliner, along with support acts Archspire, Lorna Shore and The Zenith Passage. They will perform at the Malone’s Bar And Grill in Santa Ana CA on Saturday March 14th, with several local openers also featuring on the bill.
