KYUSS LIVES! has announced a very special one-off homecoming show, set for Friday, November 18 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. The event will see the world famous band perform an extended two and a half hour long set showcasing songs from all of the band’s records in addition to never-before-performed songs taken from the band’s celebrated archive. This once in a lifetime, only in the U.S. gig celebrates the near total return of the California rock pioneers and will feature original KYUSS vocalist and front man John Garcia, original drummer Brant Bjork, original bassist and former Queens of the Stone Age four stringer Nick Oliveri plus “surprise special guests.” Today, KYUSS LIVES! announces former KYUSSbassist Scott Reeder as the first guest slated to join the band at the highly anticipated show.
Reeder, who played bass on KYUSS’ classic LPs “Welcome to Sky Valley” and “…And the Circus Leaves Town” and was also a member of doom legends The Obsessed, will share the stage with KYUSS LIVES! on what promises to be a momentous night in the band’s ever-evolving legacy. The original members of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward have just announced their reunion, and this line-up will release a new studio album in 2012, for the first time in 33 years. The album will be produced by Rick Rubin. The band is also confirmed to headline Download Festival on June 10th 2012. This will be followed by a world tour. Heavy music innovators PRONG have signed a worldwide recording contact with LONG BRANCH RECORDS/SPV. Founded in 1986 PRONG are considered to be pioneers of the American post-hardcore and post-metal scenes whose influence is still being felt today. The as yet untitled album will be released in Spring 2012.
