Finnish cello metal innovators Apocalyptica first landed on the metal world’s radar with the release of their debut album ‘Plays Metallica by Four Cellos’ in May 1996, and in 2016, issued a remastered re-release with bonus tracks to celebrate its 20 years. In 2017, they will be embarking on a world tour to perform the album live, through their old-school setup of four cellos and no drummer, unlike their modern-day incarnation. Apocalyptica have just announced a four-week North American run as part of this world tour.
