Finnish symphonic metal giants Nightwish have announced that they will begin their 9-month long ‘Decades’ world tour with a 34-show North American tour in March-April 2018. According to a post on the Nightwish facebook page, “The band will have a very special setlist for the tour, featuring rarely heard material from the earlier era, and excitingly for both band and fans, they will revisit the old songs with some new twists. This setlist will be a ‘one-off’ and only performed on this world tour.” Ticket pre-sales begin on June 12th here, and to coincide with the tour, Nuclear Blast will release a 2-CD ‘Decades’ compilation on March 9th 2018. The 2017 edition of the annual Summer Slaughter tour will feature The Black Dahlia Murder (playing ‘Nocturnal’ in its entirety to celebrate the album’s 10-year anniversary), Dying Fetus, The Faceless, Oceano, Slaughter To Prevail, Origin, Rings of Saturn, Betraying The Martyrs and Lorna Shore. Denver, Colorado extreme metal band Cobalt has been forced to postpone their upcoming June-July North American headlining tour as a result of vocalist Charlie Fell getting in an unexpected injury at the end of the final show of their recent European tour in Poland. The band has described the incident in detail via a facebook post and has promised to reschedule the dates for later in the year.
