In this week’s edition of Throwback Thursday, we bring you a gallery of classic Raven photos from their 1984 North American tour, in support of their then latest album ‘All For One’ (1983). The show was at Le Spectrum in Montreal QC on August 2nd 1984, and these photos were taken by Wayne William Archibald. This was when the members of Raven were in their mid 20s, and the band featured Rob ‘Wacko’ Hunter behind the drum kit and under the hockey helmet. Joe Hasselvander replaced him in 1987, has stayed strong with brothers John and Mark Gallagher since then, and the trio has been kept intact. The set list for the Montreal show included some deeper cuts from the band’s early material that does not get played often these days, but one thing that has not changed in the band’s 40-plus year career is their energy level, dedication and the ‘rock until you drop’ attitude, and to back that up, they still retain their prowess as songwriters and performers, as is proven by the 2015 full-length release ‘ExtermiNation’.
