\u00a0Austin, TX based dark rock band\u00a0ANCIENT VVISDOM<\/strong>\u00a0(pronounced: Ancient Wisdom) recently released its debut album\u00a0A Godlike Inferno<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0via Shinebox Recordings. \u00a0The much talked about LP was\u00a0recorded the album at Austin’s The Bubble Studio (Built to Spill, Explosions in the Sky, Mammoth Grinder) and delivers “a dark, enlightening foresight into the future of humankind.<\/em><\/strong>” \u00a0Today,\u00a0Decibel<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0magazine premieres\u00a0AVV<\/strong>‘s new music video — for the stunningly catchy song “The Opposition<\/strong>“. \u00a0Decibel<\/em>\u00a0— which recently called\u00a0A Godlike Inferno<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0“a unique occult experience from beginning to end…heavy as hell…definitely metal, and evil as fvck” — proudly premieres\u00a0ANCIENT VVISDOM<\/strong>‘s “The Opposition<\/strong>” \u00a0at\u00a0this location<\/a>. \u00a0Get your evil on!<\/p>\n

ANCIENT VVISDOM<\/strong>\u00a0will embark on its first North American tour this coming January as hand-picked openers for Sweden’s mysterious\u00a0GHOST<\/strong>. \u00a0The highly anticipated “true occult rock” tour will also include support from Toronto doom rockers\u00a0BLOOD CEREMONY<\/strong>\u00a0and promises to be one of underground music’s first bona fide touchstones of the New Year. \u00a0TheGHOST \/ BLOOD CEREMONY \/ ANCIENT VVISDOM<\/strong>\u00a0tour will kick off on January 18 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City and will run through February 2 in Los Angeles. All three bands were recently spotlighted in a story titled “Occult rock: do you believe in black magic?<\/em><\/strong>” by the UK national daily newspaper\u00a0The Guardian<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(read\u00a0here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\u00a0In additional\u00a0ANCIENT VVISDOM<\/strong>\u00a0news, the band has announced a spring European tour in conjunction with an appearance at the 2012\u00a0Roadburn Festival<\/strong>\u00a0in Tilburg, Holland. \u00a0AVV<\/strong>will perform on\u00a0April 12<\/strong>, the opening night of next year’s fest (which sold out in an incredible 7 minutes!) and take the stage alongside like-minded acts such as Agalloch, Christian Mistress, Killing Joke and SWANS.
