\"\"<\/a>The Melvins celebrate their 30th anniversary with an extensive North American tour, kicking off on July 12 in Phoenix, Arizona. <\/p>\n

\u201cHas it really only been 30 years?\u201d asked singer\/guitar player Buzz Osborne. \u201cDang!\u00a0 Thanks to everyone who\u2019s been there for us!\u00a0 It\u2019s been an exciting trip and I probably should have listened and learned more.\u00a0 I apologize for anything I\u2019ve ever done wrong and for anything I\u2019m going to do wrong\u2026 Ha!\u201d<\/p>\n

Everybody Loves Sausages<\/em>, a 13-track covers album including songs by Queen, Roxy Music and Venom, is the next release for the tricenerians. The album features guests Mark Arm, Jello Biafra, JG Thirlwell and Scott Kelly.\u00a0 Spin is currently streaming the album, with commentary from Buzz, in its entirety (http:\/\/www.spin.com\/articles\/melvins-covers-album-stream-everybody-loves-sausages-buzzo\/<\/wbr><\/wbr><\/wbr><\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Washington-based band formed in 1983 by Montesano High School classmates Osborne, Matt Lukin and Mike Dillard.\u00a0 The legendary outfit experienced its first line-up shift soon thereafter as Lukin and Dillard left the band with drummer Dale Crover stepping in, leading to one of rock music\u2019s longest running partnerships.\u00a0 In the intervening years the band, sometimes a trio and sometimes a quartet, has released over twenty studio albums, a dozen live records and innumerable singles and EPs.\u00a0\u00a0 In 2012 they embarked on the epic 51 States in 51 days tour and have recently added Melvins Lite, a new incarnation of the band featuring stand-up bassist Trevor Dunn, with the 2012 release of Freak Puke<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Melvins launch a month-long European tour today in France with both Melvins Lite and the traditional Melvins line-up performing at various dates (full details below).\u00a0 Other upcoming dates for the band include performances at Maryland Deathfest and Scion Rock Fest as well as trio of dates in Pennsylvania and Ohio.<\/p>\n
