{"id":312,"date":"2011-11-17T11:15:56","date_gmt":"2011-11-17T19:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/metalassault.com\/news\/?p=312"},"modified":"2012-05-04T22:34:52","modified_gmt":"2012-05-05T05:34:52","slug":"d-generation-to-perform-alongside-guns-n-roses-in-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/metalassault.com\/news\/2011\/11\/17\/d-generation-to-perform-alongside-guns-n-roses-in-december\/","title":{"rendered":"D GENERATION To Perform Alongside GUNS N&#8217; ROSES In December"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>New York City\u2019s highly influential rock band D Generation will perform with legendary rockers Guns N\u2019 Roses at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit on December 1 and at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati on December 2.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe\u2019re really honored to have been asked to play with Guns N Roses,\u201d says vocalist Jesse Malin.\u00a0 \u201cTommy Stinson played on one of my solo records a while back and we\u2019ve known each other for years.\u00a0 We\u2019ve always had great shows in the mid-west and are looking forward to it again.\u201d<!--more--><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe are always happy to play to new people,\u201d adds guitarist\/vocalist Danny Sage.\u00a0 \u201cI wish there were more!\u00a0 We&#8217;re flattered&#8230;It&#8217;s nice to be asked by a band that could have asked anyone.\u00a0 We appreciate it.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Formed in 1991, D Generation released three highly influential and critically acclaimed albums,\u00a0<em>D Generation<\/em>,\u00a0<em>No Lunch<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Through the Darkness<\/em>, and toured with rock legends Social Distortion, Green Day, Cheap Trick, The Misfits, The Ramones and Kiss among others before going on hiatus to pursue personal projects in 1999.\u00a0 Over the last decade, Malin has enjoyed a successful solo career while Danny Sage (guitar\/vocals), Howie Pyro (bass), Michael Wildwood (drums) and Richard Bacchus (guitar\/vocals) have all worked on a variety of their own high profile projects. \u00a0In early 2011, D Generation returned to the stage for their first live shows since 1999.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe never saw it as \u201cbreaking up\u201d or even this being a \u201creunion\u201d,\u201d Malin says.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ve known each other forever and have always been in each other\u2019s lives.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been doing my solo thing for the last several years and the rest of the guys have been doing their thing as well.\u00a0 We always knew we\u2019d be playing together again.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI\u2019m proud to see the band working a lot again,\u201d says Sage.\u00a0 \u201cI believe in the band.
