MetalSucks\u2019 review states, \u201cCombining lots of disparate elements into one powerful, anthemic package, Czar are one of those bands who could build a bridge between those who consider themselves tr00 and those who just wanna rock; their style of metal knows no boundaries.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Czar features members of Acumen Nation and DJ? Acucrack, stalwarts of Chicago\u2019s industrial and electronic scenes. Czar\u2019s sound expands upon those roots to incorporate influences ranging from Helmet and Mastodon to Failure and Jesu.\u00a0Outburn Magazine has hailed Czar as \u201cthinking man\u2019s metal\u201d and the Chicago Reader has described its music as \u201ca rich diversity of guitar sounds and textures, riveted in place by inventive percussion\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vertical Mass Grave<\/span><\/em>\u00a0was recorded by Matt Talbott, guitarist\/vocalist of Hum, at Great Western Record Recorders (Emery, Open Hand, Adai).\u00a0The album is set for a December 6 release on Cracknation, the label founded in 2002 by Czar\u2019s Jason Novak. In addition to releasing music by Czar, Acumen Nation, and DJ? Acucrack, Cracknation has functioned as a production house, creating instrumental tracks for TV shows (<\/span>True Blood, MTV Music Awards<\/span><\/em>), original scores for videogames (Vogster Entertainment\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Unbound Saga<\/span><\/em>\u00a0[PSP]), and remixes for the likes of KMFDM, Frontline Assembly, and Prong.<\/span><\/p>\n
