Los Angeles based Prosthetic Records today confirms details of their second ever official South By Southwest (SXSW) showcase in Austin, Texas. The show will take place on Friday, March 16 at Valhalla (located at 710 Red River and formerly known as Room 710) and kicks off at 8:00 pm. The lineup features a who\u2019s who of new signings and established acts including headliners, Houston progressive instrumentalists\u00a0SCALE THE SUMMIT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

SCALE THE SUMMIT<\/strong>\u00a0continues to tour in support of\u00a0The Collective<\/em>, released last year via Prosthetic Records. Called \u201cterrifyingly good\u201d and \u201cessential prog\u201d by Guitar World,\u00a0The Collective<\/em>\u00a0was recorded in late 2010 at Paint It Black Studios in Orlando, Florida with producer Mark Lewis (Devildriver, All That Remains, The Black Dahlia Murder). Prosthetic Records recently issued\u00a0The Collective<\/em>\u00a0on vinyl. The LP \u2014 limited to 500 copies on high-quality 180-gram wax \u2014 is available NOW at the\u00a0Prosthetic Store<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and features enhanced cover art as well as bonus track, \u201cRedwoods,\u201d initially only availa<\/em>ble on the Japanese version of the release. Formed in 2005 while attending the Musicians\u2019 Institute in Los Angeles,\u00a0SCALE THE SUMMIT<\/strong>\u00a0relocated to Texas in 2006, where they recorded their self-released debut album. After signing with Prosthetic, they released\u00a0Carving Desert Canyons<\/em>, which Revolver called \u201ca cinematic blast of intricately melodic fretwork and pummeling percussion,\u201d in 2009.
