Legendary US metal band\u00a0MALICE\u00a0signed a worldwide deal with\u00a0SPV \/ Steamhammer. Original members\u00a0Jay Reynolds\u00a0(guitars),\u00a0Mick Zane\u00a0(guitars) and\u00a0Mark Behn\u00a0(bass) entered the Silver Cloud Studios in Los Angeles together with new singer\u00a0James Rivera\u00a0(Helstar) and new drummer\u00a0Pete Holmes\u00a0 (Black N\u00b4Blue) to re-record\u00a0some of their\u00a0classics plus 4 new songs.\u00a0The producer is\u00a0Joe Floyd\u00a0(Warrior) who also was involved in producing records of\u00a0Bruce Dickinsonand\u00a0Rob Halford. The album is scheduled for a\u00a0May 2012\u00a0release.<\/p>\n
“We were all amazed at the great crowd responce and turn out for the gigs we played in 2011 , and it feels great to\u00a0have a well known label like SPV behind us, be in the studio with a veteran line up and have a killer producer…… there will no longer be an abscence of MALICE !!”\u00a0comments\u00a0Jay Reynolds.<\/p>\n
The band can`t wait to go on tour and dates will be announced soon. Bass player\u00a0Robert Cardenas\u00a0(Agent Steel)\u00a0, who also recorded the new tracks in the studio, will step in for Mark Behn\u00a0on the live front.<\/p>\n

MALICE\u00a0was formed in 1981 and released two albums:\u00a0In The Beginning\u00a0(1985) and\u00a0License To Kill\u00a0(1986) and one EP\u00a0Crazy In The Night\u00a0(1988). They also were part – and the only band with two songs –\u00a0of the first legendary\u00a0“Metal Massacre”-Sampler in 1982. Malice toured\u00a0in the US, Canada and Europe\u00a0with bands like\u00a0Alice Cooper, WASPand\u00a0Slayer. Most memorable gig was in 1982 when Malice\u00a0played in Los Angeles at the Troubador Club –\u00a0support act was an unknown band called…….\u00a0Metallica.<\/p>\n
