Animals As Leaders<\/a><\/strong> and Periphery<\/a><\/strong> have teamed up for what promises to be the<\/em> tour of the year for all fans of modern prog. The two bands will embark on the ‘Convergence’ North American co-headline five-week trek from October 31st to December 2nd, with opening acts Car Bomb (10\/31 to 11\/15) and Astronoid (11\/17 to 12\/02). Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday July 28th. Check out the dates below, along with quotes from members of the two co-headliners.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis tour is a long time coming,\u201d said Animals As Leaders\u2019 guitar player Tosin Abasi. \u201cBeyond being some of our favorite musicians, the guys in Periphery are some of our favorite people! Our careers share common roots and at times, common members. We can\u2019t wait to bring this show to you all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly excited to hit the road with our good friends in Animals as Leaders this fall,\u201d adds Periphery guitar player Mark Holcomb. \u201cWhile we’ve done some short runs and one-off shows with AAL over the years, the idea to do a full-scale, co-headlining tour of North America has been something both our camps have discussed for the better part of seven years. Unfortunately, we were never able to line things up. Until now. We were also able to snag two amazing bands for portions of this tour as well, Car Bomb for the first half and Astronoid for the second half.\u201d<\/p>\n
