Today\u00a0CHRISTIAN MISTRESS\u00a0<\/strong>has released the first song from their new album\u00a0Possession<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0entitled “Haunted Hunted” Get a first listen courtesy of Pitchfork\u00a0HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Olympia, Washington’s traditional heavy metal band,\u00a0CHRISTIAN MISTRESS,<\/strong>\u00a0have completed recording their Relapse Records debut album. The full-length, titled\u00a0Possession<\/em><\/strong>, was recorded with former The Fucking Champs guitarist Tim Green at Louder Studios (Melvins, Saviours, Red Sparowes, Unwound) and mastered by John Golden at Golden Mastering.<\/p>\n

Possession’s<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0full track list is as follows:\u00a0 “Over & Over”, “Pentagram and Crucifix”, “Conviction”, “The Way Beyond”, “Possession”, “Black to Gold”, “There is Nowhere”, “Haunted Hunted”, and “All Abandon”.\u00a0Possession<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is currently set for a February 28, 2012 release and the album’s Benjamin A. Vierling-adorned art can be previewed\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

CHRISTIAN MISTRESS<\/strong>\u00a0(Christine Davis: vocals, Oscar Sparbel: guitar, Ryan McClain: guitar, Jonny Wulf: bass, Reuben Storey: drums) formed in 2007, while the band’s 2009 LP, Agony & Opium, received international critical acclaim for its unflinchingly authentic take on American heavy metal.<\/p>\n
