John Gallagher, guitarist and vocalist of\u00a0DYING FETUS<\/strong>, has announced that the group\u00a0has\u00a0entered the studio to record their new full length album.\u00a0The band will once again be working with longtime producer Steve Wright (Slipknot, Misery Index) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore, MD.<\/p>\n

Set to be released in\u00a0mid 2012 through Relapse Records, the album will\u00a0feature nine tracks and\u00a0is a “return to roots”\u00a0with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band’s last few works.\u00a0 Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of\u00a0DYING FETUS<\/strong>\u00a0as we have come to know.\u00a0 An official release date and album title will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n

“The last album had some groove in it,” stated John, “but [it] was basically a lot of tech; this one is a return to form of older\u00a0DYING FETUS<\/strong>\u00a0albums, so to speak- more modern production though, of course.”\u00a0\u00a0“Everything’s tight,” John adds; “…the sound is crushing, the drums are amazing”.<\/p>\n

Additionally,\u00a0DYING FETUS\u00a0<\/strong>have announced a series of special South American shows set to take place in mid-January.\u00a0 The band has also been confirmed for next year’s prestigious Maryland Deathfest and France’s Hellfest.\u00a0\u00a0DYING FETUS<\/strong>\u00a0plan to tour extensively in support of their new album and will be announcing more dates shortly.<\/p>\n
