The 2017 edition of the annual Summer Slaughter tour will feature The Black Dahlia Murder (playing ‘Nocturnal’ in its entirety to celebrate the album’s 10-year anniversary), Dying Fetus, The Faceless, Oceano, Slaughter To Prevail, Origin, Rings of Saturn, Betraying The Martyrs and Lorna Shore. Cobalt Postpones North American Tour due to Freak Injury

Denver, Colorado extreme metal band Cobalt has been forced to postpone their upcoming June-July North American headlining tour as a result of vocalist Charlie Fell getting in an unexpected injury at the end of the final show of their recent European tour in Poland. The band has described the incident in detail via a facebook post and has promised to reschedule the dates for later in the year. Marty Friedman Announces New Album ‘Wall Of Sound’, Unveils New Song

Metal guitar icon Marty Friedman has announced his new album ‘Wall Of Sound’, set for release on August 4th via Prosthetic Records! It was produced by Friedman, engineered by Paul Fig (Ghost, Rush, Alice In Chains) and mixed by Jens Bogren (Lamb of God, Opeth), with legendary Queen producer Mack joining in to mix two tracks. Houston, Texas based metal band Venomous Maximus has announced their third full-length album ‘No Warning’, set to be released July 28 via Shadow Kingdom Records. Their latest album ‘Firewalker’ emerged in 2015 as one of the finest metal releases of that year, is still in rotation on our playlists, and ‘No Warning’ promises to be a strong follow-up as the band continues to delve deeper into their musical inspirations and draw from life on the road to fuel their creativity. Warning forced to Postpone US Tour due to Visa Delay

British doom metal group Warning has become yet another to suffer from a delayed US visa process, and as a result, have been forced to postpone their US West Coast shows which were scheduled for June 10, 15 and 17 in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle respectively. Warning started out in ’94 and called it quits in 2009, but reunited in 2017 for an appearance on this year’s Roadburn festival to perform their 2006 album ‘Watching from a Distance’ in its entirety. They were supposed to carry on with this resurgence and bring it to the US for these three highly anticipated shows, but have had to change plans.
