December 18th 2014, Grill ‘Em All, Alhambra CA: <\/strong>To celebrate their upcoming debut full-length album ‘Curse Of The Damned’, Ventura CA old-school metal band Night Demon hosted a special pre-release listening party in association with their record label Century Media at metal-themed restaurant Grill ‘Em All in Alhambra. The entire album was played in its entirety on the PA and the band members hung out to meet fans for an evening of heavy metal and equally heavy food and drink consumption.<\/p>\n

The party ran from 7 to 9 PM, as Grill ‘Em All’s wide range of epic half-pound burgers served attendees of varying tastes and preferences. The ‘Behemoth’ and ‘Napalm Death’ burgers are a true test of one’s eating abilities while the ‘Powerslave’ is only the best burger of all time. Along with the burgers, the Trooper on draft was a popular choice among beer drinkers. But the featured item of the night, befitting the occasion, was the Night Demon wings, steaming hot and clearly not for the faint of heart. The Night Demon guys themselves enjoyed a taste of their namesake:<\/p>\n

After two complete spins of the album, tickets to Night Demon’s January 23 record release show at the Airliner were raffled off and the event drew to a close as the gathering began to disperse. In all honesty, while I understand the promotional benefits they have for bands, listening parties never ever appealed to me, and if this wasn’t Night Demon’s party I probably would not have even attended. But, based on this party, I can’t deny that Grill ‘Em All serves as the best possible venue and makes this kind of event a lot more enjoyable for all involved. The turnout was large enough to pack this place to capacity and it was pleasing to notice that Night Demon’s circle of LA area fans came out in support despite plenty of other live music entertainment occurring simultaneously in various parts of town. All in all, a perfect sendoff to Night Demon for their upcoming US tour and a great launch for the debut album.<\/p>\n
