Today, things are much better. With acts from India showing the international world their musical abilities and blogs, webzines and promoters being hard held on not being left far behind, India is slowly creeping in on to the global metal map.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago,\u00a0facebook\u00a0was taken over by a status update about a new music festival coming up for the Indian metal followers called\u00a0Big69. Soon after, a section of the lineup was released which had Italian technical death metal band\u00a0Fleshgod Apocalypse\u00a0and UK rap metal\u00a0band\u00a0Hacktivist.\u00a0As if that wasn\u2019t enough, the next announcements\u00a0by\u00a0Big69\u00a0stated that UK Progressive Metal band\u00a0SikTh\u00a0would be the\u00a0third\u00a0band on the bill. With one more international band yet to be disclosed, Indians are taking their guesses at who the fourth name might be. All three bands have announced their excitement, having never played in India before, while Indian metalheads have gone on to express their pleasure through and through.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1169\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1169\" style=\"width: 584px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/metalassault.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/image1.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[1166]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1169\" alt=\"Fleshgod Apocalypse\" src=\"http:\/\/metalassault.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/image1-1024x726.jpg\" width=\"584\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"http:\/\/metalassault.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/image1-1024x726.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/metalassault.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/image1-300x212.jpg 300w, http:\/\/metalassault.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/image1-422x300.jpg 422w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1169\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fleshgod Apocalypse<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The festival is being organised by\u00a0BAJAAO Consulting and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and supported by\u00a0Pepsi MTV Indies. Top-notch\u00a0Indian bands Demonic\u00a0Resurrection,\u00a0Undying Inc,\u00a0Zygnema,\u00a0Kyptos, Gutslit, Albatross, Escher&#8217;s Knot, Inner Sanctum, Providence, Noiseware, Devoid, Chronic Xorn, Plague Throat and Grammy Winning Effort, along with Underside from Nepal, will also perform at the festival. In addition, MTV Indies\u00a0will carry out a nationwide search to look for\u00a0two\u00a0promising Indian bands to play at the festival. They\u00a0were the company behind the\u00a0now defunct\u00a0cult underground venue\u00a0B69, which is still\u00a0remembered fondly by the city\u2019s\u00a0metal heads. Festival director Himanshu Vaswani\u00a0stated that Big69 would\u00a0try at\u00a0closing\u00a0the void that B69 left many years ago. The festival will take place at\u00a0the\u00a0Richardson &amp; Cruddas\u00a0industrial\u00a0compound in\u00a0Byculla, Bombay. Tickets are already up on pre-sale.
