Death metal band Decrepit Birth’s latest album “Polarity”, which was released in 2010 under the Nuclear Blast label, was right up there with the best releases on the year, in my opinion. The band has been actively promoting the album on the road, on the Summer Slaughter tour in 2010, followed by tours with Suffocation and Kataklysm.<\/p>\n

Rejoined by bassist Derek Boyer who has added a huge amount of impetus to the band’s on-stage sound and presence, Decrepit Birth completed another North American run with Decapitated last October. This tour made a stop at the Whisky A-Go-Go in Hollywood on October 10th, and I had the chance to talk to guitarist Matt Sotelo about this tour, the return of Boyer, and many other things.
