German technical death metal band Obscura released their latest studio album “Omnivium” last March, and it received a unanimously positive response from fans and critics alike. They embarked on a North American tour as one of the support acts to Children Of Bodom in June, and exposed themselves to a huge new audience. That tour enabled them to make another visit here soon after, this time as the headliner.<\/p>\n

On November 21st, this tour made a stop at the Key Club in Hollywood, and before the show I had the pleasure of sitting down with guitarist\/vocalist Steffen Kummerer to talk in detail about the tour, and their upcoming “Illegimitation” demo collection release. It’s always great talking to German musicians, and this time was no different.
