Interview: A Detailed Conversation With Devin Townsend (Audio)

By Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal, October 24th 2011, The Troubadour, Los Angeles CA: If you don't know who Devin Townsend is, all you need to know is that he is one of a kind, and you need to see him live to be able to understand what he is trying to do, musically and otherwise.

The four-album Devin Townsend Project is now complete, with the release of the Deconstruction and Ghost albums this year, and just recently they finished a North American tour with The Ocean to present this new material as well as from the first two albums Ki and Addicted.

It's always a pleasure talking to Devin, and he is easily one of my favorite interview subjects. A few hours before he took the stage here at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, I got the chance to sit down with him and talk about everything under the sun, including touring, future plans, our mutual hate for Vegas and the Sunset Strip, on-stage farts, and lots more. Enjoy this very in-depth 27-minute conversation below, and check out the official website for all your Devin Townsend needs!
