An Interview With Jason Sawford From The Australian Pink Floyd Show (Audio)

By Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal, October 4th 2011, Los Angeles CA: After seeing them for the first time about two years ago at the Nokia Theatre in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, I came to the conclusion that The Australian Pink Floyd Show is the closest you will get to the real Pink Floyd experience, and in the words of Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, they are even better than the original band. They have been doing this since as long ago as 1988, and their 23-year history is solid proof of the fact that theirs is more than just a tribute act, which is why they have been successful for such a long period, still going stronger than ever, selling out arenas all over. Not only do they have the music nailed down perfectly, but they go all out with their stage production and leave no stone unturned in recreating a glorious Floydian atmosphere for the paying audience.

Now they are ready to hit North American theatre-sized venues once again, with a brand new tour that promises to bring a show no Floyd fan has ever seen before. Just a few minutes ago, I spoke to keyboard player and founding member Jason Sawford to talk more about this tour, and everything else you would want to know about the band. Listen to the 12-minute conversation below, and check out their official website for more info, news and tour dates.
