By Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal, August 29th 2011, Los Angeles CA: When it comes to modern day guitar heroes, the name Gus G needs no introduction. But if you happen to be one of those very few people who are not familiar with him, the Greek guitarist started the power metal band Firewind in 1998 and they have released six studio albums since then, including the latest album "Days Of Defiance" which came out in late 2010. But 2009 was truly a defining year in Gus' life, as he got recruited as the guitarist in Ozzy Osbourne's band. The massive world tour with Ozzy has kept him busy for the last two years, and now that the Scream World Tour is finally over, he has been able to plan a touring cycle for Firewind.

Firewind will start this tour in the UK on September 8th, then across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy and France before they head over to our part of the world to being the "Frets Of Fury" North American tour with support coming from Arsis, White Wizzard and Nightrage. I had the pleasure of speaking with Gus to talk about this upcoming tour, new material, line-up changes, support bands and various other topics.
