Two-piece bands are cultivating the new revolution and evolution in heavy music, and there is none more incredible than stoner doom duo Year Of The Cobra from Seattle, Washington. Comprising the awesome twosome of Jon Barrysmith on drums and Amy Tung Barrysmith on vocals and double-fridge bass attack, YOTC have already come a long way in their 3 years as a band, crushing stages and making new fans one show at a time. The band has signed to Prophecy Productions, and will embark on a US headline tour this week.
On signing to Prophecy, YOTC have this to say: “We are really excited about signing with Prophecy. We like how Prophecy has a wide range of bands and musical styles on their roster and we feel that we fit in well. Plus, the releases that Prophecy puts out are true pieces of art. We believe this will be an excellent match.”
YOTC are also working on their sophomore full-length, to be released in 2019, with legendary engineer/producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Tad, Soundgarden), and are confirmed to play the inaugural Prophecy Fest USA, taking place this November at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory.
